Description

Day 01
TRAVEL DAY
Upon arrival in La Paz, take a taxi to our hotel
Day 02
ARRIVE & EXPLORE LA PAZ • 11,942' | 3,640M
Today we explore La Paz, visiting such attractions as the Witches Market (Mercado de Brujas) and the Mira Mira City Overlook. We will have an evening orientation meeting to prepare for the days ahead. Overnight in La Paz
Day 03
COPACABANA • 12,600' | 3,840M
Ore: 07:30 Trasporti La Paz- Copacabana, arrivo in hotel e pranzo. Dopo pranzo alle 13:30 Iniziamo il nostro tour a la Isla del Sol. Visitiamo i resti archeologici di "Pilkokaina", dove si trova il tempio Inca, poi una breve passeggiata alla fontana della Giovinezza, lì puoi purificarti prendendo un po d’acqua sacra e godremo anche della bellezza di quel bellissimo giardino Inca. Notte in albergo sulle isole del Sole
Day 04
ISLA DEL SOL • 12,800' | 3,901M
The island contains many ruins from the era of the Inca, which we will explore as we hike around the area, stretching our legs and lungs. then return to Copacabana and La Paz. Travel by bus to Uyuni or travel by plane the next morning
Day 05
UYUNI - TRAIN CEMETERY - REFINERY - INCAHUASI ISLAND - SALT HOSTEL
Our first stop will be a few minutes after leaving in the Cemetery of Trains, where the old locomotives are abandoned, creating a very peculiar landscape,Then we will go to the Colchani village, where you will get to visit the salt museum. The we will go enter the salt desert at noon, visiting the salt heaps, the “ojos del salar” (small holes where you can see the underground water) The next stop will be Incahuasi Island, a place that hosts a unique environment full of giant cacti and thanks to its elevation, becomes one of the best vantage points to enjoy the fascinating landscape
Day 06
SAN JUAN - EDUARDO AVAROA PARK - SILOLI DESERT - LAGUNA COLORADA
This day we will pass first through the Chiguana salt flats and stop at the Ollague volcano viewpoint for some more panorama views. Afterwards, we will visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Hona and Ramadita lagoons, known as the altiplanic or colored lagoons. We will reach the Eduardo Avaroa national park passing through the Siloli Desert, located more than 16,404 feet (5000 meters) above sea level, which offers absolutely incredible volcanic landscapes of different colors and its famous stone tree. We will stop along the way to eat. Finally, we will reach the Laguna Colorada, inhabited by three different species of flamingos. There, we will have some free time and trek around the lagoon for twenty minutes to see all the different animals that inhabit this haven of life
Day 07
SOL DE LA MAÑANA - HOT SPRINGS - SALVADOR DALÍ DESERT - LAGUNA VERDE – UYUNI
We will get up very early to start the journey to the “Sol de la Mañana” geyser field, since the activity is higher during the first hours of the day and only then will you be able to see the many active geysers, fumaroles and even a small crater with volcanic lava. The trip continues to the hot springs where we can swim in a pool of natural thermal water. After the swim we will go to the Salvador Dalí desert and visit the Green and White Lagoons. The incredible views, with the volcano Licancabur in the background, make the perfect setting to explore the area. Start the road back to Uyuni that crosses the Black Lagoon, the valley of rocks and the San Cristobal village church. We will arrive to Uyuni town around 5:00 p.m. After that you will put an end to this incredible experience of the Uyuni Salt Flats tour.  return flight or bus to La Paz
Day 08
LA PAZ - CHIARKOTA LAGOON • 15,321’ | 4670M (CONDORIRI BASE CAMP) • 15,200' | 4,633M
From La Paz we will go by road to Rinconada, the gateway to the Condoriri group of mountains. Donkeys will be loaded with our gear and we’ll trek about an hour and a half to two hours to reach Laguna Chiar Khota (Black Lake) and its beautiful views of the cluster of thirteen peaks known as the Condoriri group. This will be where we will establish our base camp for the next several days of acclimatizing, skills review, and climbing. Overnight at Condoriri Base Camp
Day 09
CHIARKOTA LAGOON – AUSTRIA PEAK • 17,552’ | 5350M – CHIARKHOTA LAGOON.
We’ll climb Pico Austria. Pico Austria is a trekking peak and combines acclimatization with stunning views of the Cordillera Real, the Condoriri group, the altiplano, and even Lake Titicaca. Overnight at Condoriri Base Camp.
Day 10
CHIARKOTA LAGOON – TARIJA PEAK • 17,388’ | 5300M – PEQUEÑO ALPAMAYO • 17,814’ | 5430M– CHIARKHOTA LAGOON
We will attempt the climb of Pequeño Alpamayo; named for its resemblance to the famed Alpamayo of Peru. This climb follows one of the most aesthetic lines in Bolivia. We will climb the same glacier we visited for skills review and continue up to the rounded subsidiary Pico Tarija (17,060 ft./5200 m) before taking in the awesome view of our final objective, a striking sharp snow pyramid. In the final portion of the route, we’ll follow the airy exposed ridge to the summit. Overnight at Condoriri Base Camp (15,420 ft./4700 m)
Day 11
CHIARKOTA LAGOON - HUANYA POTOSI BASE CAMP • 15,200' | 4,633M
A leisurely morning hike from the Condoriri Base Camp will bring us back to Rinconada. From there, our transport will take us to Huayna Potosi Base Camp. Overnight at Refugio.
Day 12
BASE CAMP - REFUGIO LAS ROCAS • 16,830' | 5,130M
From the base camp, we’ll climb to the higher camp. We’ll hike following the aplomb part of the “morena” at first. We’ll then climb up one of its major slopes. We’ll enjoy the unique view of the Zongo valley. After two hours and a half of hiking, we’ll arrive at the refuge of the higher camp where we’ll stay overnight. Night at refuge
Day 13
HUAYNA POTOSI SUMMIT DAY (19,974') • 11,942' | 3,640M
To reach the summit, we’ll start our ascent at 3:00 am taking advantage of the solid land. We’ll enjoy a unique sunrise. The route includes a “pala chica” of 30 meters with a 50 degree slope. After that, we’ll follow flat paths and slope sections in order to reach the last sloping part of 45 degrees called “pala grande” which will take us to the summit. We’ll climb down following the same track to reach base camp and La Paz
